Welcome to my blog.
I have been fantasizing about making a blog for the good part of the last year. But with each epic fantasy, came a slew of anxieties that told me that if I made a blog it would fail. And it would prove that I am a failure.
That did not stop me from making plans. I have dozens of scrap papers with scribbled notes about themes, brand, topics, logos, e-commerce. I dove deep to research into parts of blogging that I may never touch – all because I was afraid to actually press Publish.
Yesterday I spoke with my dad, casually bringing up that the pandemic had gotten me thinking about blogging and immediately he lit up with excitement. He started dreaming for me, of a large viewership-base that extended to aliens in outer-space. When I gently pointed out that, that might not happen he turned to me and said, “You have to start somewhere.”
So here I am, trying my hand at making a dream come true.
It is hard to push past the fear and anxiety. But if you are excited about something but the only thing holding you back is the worry that you will not succeed, just remember, every plant starts from a seed.
Hope that something I write touches some heartstrings here on the web, and then someday the heartstrings of people beyond this world.
